How the numbers are chosen

A product page shows a figure only when a source states it. The sources are the Open Filament Database, an exact SpoolmanDB match, or a manufacturer page that was opened and checked. Dataset imported is the Open Filament Database generation date. Manufacturer page checked is the day that page was read. No spool has been printed to check these figures.

If a figure is missing, the cell is an em dash labeled “Not in our current sources.” That means we do not have the number. It is not a claim that the manufacturer has confirmed the absence, unless a cited page was checked and the figure was not on it.

Printer compatibility

Nozzle and bed are separate checks. If the filament’s minimum is already above the printer’s maximum, the page says the printer cannot print this material at the recommended temperature. If the minimum is inside the printer’s limit and the maximum is not, the page says the printer cannot reach the full recommended range. That is a partial result, not a failure to print.

Enclosure and a hardened nozzle are their own checks. Carbon-fiber, glass-fiber, and glow products call for a hardened nozzle when the record says so, or when the name says the material is abrasive. Fits is used only when the essential checks have been resolved. A missing essential check is never shown as a fit.

Deals and links

A deal records a retailer price that someone checked, the regular price, and the time. The page HTML shows the percent off. Some browsers show the dollar price on the card. Others receive it after email confirmation. “Check price at Amazon” is an exact product link. “Search Amazon” is a search for the catalog name, not a claim that one listing is the exact spool. “Shop at” a brand goes to that brand’s store.
